Objective:To explore the clinical effect of Vacuum Sealing Drainage(VSD) technique in the second-stage wound healing after amputation of lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans. Methods:126 patients with second-stage wound healing after amputation of lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans hospitalized from Sept. 2013 to Dec. 2017 were chosen and and randomly divided into the VSD treatment group(49 cases) and the conventional dressing change group(77 cases), with the length of stay, times of dressing change, the wound infection rate, the hospitalization cost and the skin grafting rate compared and analyzed. Results:The length of stay, times of dressing change, the wound infection rate, the hospitalization cost and the skin grafting rate in the VSD treatment group were significantly shorter, fewer or lower than those in the conventional dressing changing group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The clinical effect of VSD in the second-stage wound healing after amputation of lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans was good, which can significantly shorten the length of stay, reduce times of dressing change and lower the wound infection rate, the hospitalization cost and the skin grafting rate.
