Discussion on the Small Intestine being Related to Spleen

五脏之中,《内经》对心、肝、肺、肾四脏位置形态均有较为详尽清晰的论述,但是对脾的叙述较为简略,仅仅在《素问·太阴阳明论》中提及"脾与胃,以膜相连耳",以及在《素问·金匮真言论》中说"腹为阴,阴中之至阴,脾也",故引起后世医家不少争议。查阅古籍,从古述脾的解剖位置、小肠泌别清浊的功能及脾病多以小肠论治试阐释小肠属脾。

Among the five zang-organs,Huangdi Neijing has a detailed and clear discussion of heart,liver,lung and kidney.But the description of the spleen is relatively simple.Only the Plain Question the theory of greater yin and yang brightness has mentioned that spleen and stomach are connected by membranes.And the Plain Question true words of the Golden Chamber also mentions that belly is inclined to yin,and the stomach is the most yin of yin.So it has caused a lot of controversy among doctors and amateurs of Traditional Chinese Medicine.In ancient books,the author explained that the small intestine belongs to the spleen from the anatomic location of the spleen,the function of the small intestine secreting and clearing away turbid matter,and the treatment of spleen diseases mostly based on the small intestine.
