Ceramic is the product of intimate interaction between the human body and clay, and a cultural form concerning the integration of material and spirit. The core value of ceramics consists in the human body and the body experience. However, in the historical narration of ceramic culture, the body and body experience are gradually excluded. Accordingly, the implication of ceramics is redefined in the consumption space of ceramics. Therefore, the key to the deep understanding of ceramic culture when conducting the study of ceramic culture lies in whether ceramics can be interpreted in its birthplace, and whether the cultural metaphor of the body can be discovered from a critical perspective in the unique development process of ceramics.
