朱维铮先生求学、治学并传学于复旦大学,一生以学术奉献于母校。他师从陈守实、周予同先生,继承复旦优秀的史学传统,治学严谨,注重材料的辨析与考证,具有深厚的治学能力,在中国经学史、中国史学史、中国思想文化史、中西文化交流史和中国近代史等多个领域都有建树,其著述为学界所瞩目。他是20世纪80年代中国文化史研究的倡导者和实际建设者;广泛联系国内外学者,在学术研究艰难时期扶持了一批优秀作者。他与王元化先生一起做"有学术的思想,有思想的学术",为学界持守信心和尊严。"改革开放"后,他把中国学术推向国际,是推动国际文史学术交流的先行者。在半个多世纪的从教生涯中,从严执教,为中国史学研究培养了一批优秀的专业人才。

Mr.Zhu Weizheng spends his life as a student,teacher and researcher in Fudan University.He inherits Fudan’s excellent historiography tradition,making rigorous researches in material criticism.He has made great achievements in many fields,such as history of Chinese classics,history of Chinese historiography,history of Chinese ideology and culture,history of cultural exchanges between China and the West,and the modern history of China.He is also a pioneer and practitioner of the study of Chinese cultural history in the 1980s.After the “reform and opening up”,he becomes a pioneer in promoting international academic exchanges in literature and history.During his teaching career of more than half a century,he has trained a number of excellent professionals for the study of Chinese historiography.
