In recent years, multimedia technology has become the hottest and fastest growing technology in the field of computer information technology. It is the main focus of the development and competition of electronic information technology in the new era. The emergence of multimedia technology breaks the limitation of time and space, and can effectively enhance data storage and utilization. For example, the use of multimedia technology in teaching can effectively improve the quality of teaching and learning;the use of multimedia technology in image field can effectively find out the basic principles and outstanding problems and correct them. Based on this, this paper introduces the concept and characteristics of multimedia technology, focusing on multimedia information technology and application fields.
