With the continuous progress of science and technology, after decades of development of communication technology, optical fiber communication has become an important part of communication network, consisting of a large number of communication optical cables. Due to the large laying range and complex environment of optical cable, various kinds of faults often occur, which brings great challenges to the maintenance of optical cable lines. Based on this, various kinds of faults of communication optical cable are analyzed in depth, and effective protection measures are put forward, hoping to provide some help for the majority of optical cable maintenance personnel.
