A Summary of the Research on the Mechanism of Determining the Optimal Retirement Age

"退休年龄设计"问题是社会养老保险制度改革面临的重大议题,其相关领域的研究受到众多学者和政策制定者的关注。文章对国内外文献分类对相关研究进行梳理后发现:国外文献主要是从个人特征、家庭特征、经济变量和社会保障对最优退休年龄决策进行研究,而国内文献主要是从个人特征、社会福利最大化、基本养老基金的当期收支平衡、养老金财富对最优退休年龄进行研究。据此,对现有研究进行述评,对下一步如何开展最优退休年龄相关研究提出了新的思考。

The problem of "Retirement Age Design" is an important issue in the reform of social endowment insurance system.The research in its related fields has attracted the attention of many scholars and policymakers.After combing the relevant document at home and abroad,this paper finds that the foreign document mainly studies the optimal retirement age decision from the aspects of personal characteristics,family characteristics,economic variables and social security;The domestic document mainly studies the optimal retirement age from the aspects of personal characteristics, maximization of social welfare,balance of income and expenditure of basic pension funds,and pension wealth.Based on this,the existing studies are reviewed,and new thoughts on how to carry out the research on the optimal retirement age in the next step are put forward.
