摘要
聚焦《朗文当代英语词典》5个不同版本,分别对其词目数量,词语释义、配例、学习及文化等信息和编排进行对比分析,探讨英语学习词典编纂的新发展。上述分析不仅体现语言学、语料库语言学、认知语言学等相关学科的新发展,而且反应了学习词典编纂理念、原则和创新实践新发展,进一步提升学习词典在外语学习中所发挥的重要作用。与此同时,上述发现对外语词汇教学也有很多新的启示。
The article examined the similarities and differences between five different editions of Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English in entry numbers,entry definitions,exemplification,and related information such as usage and grammar so as to highlight the new development in learner dictionary compilation.Based on the analysis of the above-mentioned features,some suggestions are ventured to further improve English vocabulary teaching in China.
