Based on the analysis of the reports of 14 overseas English media on Guangzhou Global Wealth Forum between December 4 and December 12 in 2017,this paper has some findings as follow:there are few or no reports by the mainstream British and American media.Basically, overseas English media adopt different reporting frameworks, which mainly include objective reporting and subjective criticism. And the types of reporting mainly focus on economic trade, enterprise management, science and technology, while there are fewer political, cultural and social issues with low relevance to the forum. In general, the reporting attitude tends to be positive. The article further discusses the reasons for the reporting framework of the Guangzhou Fortune Forum by the overseas English media. On the one hand, the forum is a world-renowned economic event,so the relevant reports of Western media focus on the theme of wealth and development. On the other hand, geographic, political, diplomatic and ideological differences affect the media s agenda setting and reporting attitudes, resulting in a small number of Western mainstream media not to report on the Guangzhou Fortune Forum or adopting a critical framework to report.
