“张先生打碎了他四个杯子”双宾语句地位探析——以约束理论三原则为基础

A Study on “Mr.Zhang broke four of his glasses” the Double Object Status of This Sentence——On the Application of Three Principles of Binding Theory

“打碎了他四个杯子”这类句式一直以来都争议不断,各家观点不一。有些学者认为“他”和“四个杯子”具有领属关系,这是一个单宾语句,“他”是指物名词“四个杯子”的定语;也有学者认为“他”是动词支配的间接宾语,与受事宾语“四个杯子”一起构成双宾语。我们认为该类句式是双宾语句式。以徐杰的约束理论三原则为基础,结合其他学者的观点,来具体论证说明该句式为双宾句的合理性。

The phrase "broke his four cups" has long been controversial. Some scholars believe that "he" and "four cups" have a possessive relationship, which is a single object sentence,and"he" refers to the attributive of the object noun "four cups".While some scholars think that "he" is the indirect object dominated by the verb, which forms a double object together with the subject object "four cups". This paper agrees with the latter point of view that this kind of sentence pattern is a double-object sentence pattern. Based on the three principles of binding theory of xu jie, combined with other scholars’ viewpoints, demonstrates the rationality of the sentence structure as a double object sentence.
