Chinese President Xi Jinping recently stressed the importance of sense of mission and dedication among Party officials and young people in his instruction honoring late village official Huang Wenxiu.After she com pleted her graduate studies,Huang gave up opportunities to work in big cities so she could return to her hometown,where she devoted herself to the cause of poverty alleviation.She helped 418 villagers escape poverty after she was named first secretary of Baini Village,in Baise City,South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.Huang died,at age 30,in a rain-triggered flash flood on June 17,2019.
