The main cause of damage to earth dams is the intrusion of water and other external forces, or the strength of the soil. The most common type of earth dam failure is the seepage problem of earth dams. This paper analyzes the specific causes of the seepage of earth dams, and has mastered the specific reasons and rules of the change of seepage problem. Taking the anti-seepage measures of earth dam of Xinier Reservoir in Tarim River Basin of Xinjiang as examples, this paper puts forward some concrete control measures of earth dam seepage problems, for reference.
