Effect of personalized PITC strategy on controlling HIV infection rate in volunteer blood donors

目的探讨实施个性化医务人员主动提供艾滋病检测咨询(PITC)策略对控制无偿献血人群HIV感染率的影响,并依据感染人群特点提出相关对策。方法回顾分析2009年1月~2018年12月张家港市红十字血站的185510份无偿献血人群标本HIV阳性率,比较实施个性化PITC策略前(2009年1月~2013年12月)、后(2014年1月~2018年12月)无偿献血人群HIV感染率的变化,分析无偿献血HIV感染阳性人群分布情况。结果实施个性化PITC策略后,无偿献血人群HIV感染率由0.014%下降为0.009%。文化程度较低的青年男性HIV感染阳性率较高。结论实施个性化PITC策略、扩大高危献血者检测咨询服务覆盖面,对控制无偿献血人群HIV阳性率有积极的实践意义。

Objective To explore the effect of personalized provider-initated HIV testing and counseling (PITC) strategy on controlling HIV infection rate in volunteer blood donors, and propose relevant countermeasures according to the characteristics of infected people. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on HIV positive rate of 185 510 specimens of volunteer blood donors from Zhangjiagang Red Cross Blood Station from January 2009 to December 2018. The changes in HIV infection rate among voluntary blood donors before (from January 2009 to December 2013) and after (from January 2014 to December 2018) the implementation of personalized PITC strategy were compared, and the HIV positive distribution of volunteer blood donation was analyzed. Results After implementing the personalized PITC strategy, the HIV infection rate of volunteer blood donors decreased from 0.014% to 0.009%. There were higher HIV positive infection rates in young men with lower education. Conclusion Implementing the strategy of PITC and expanding the coverage of the examination and consultation service for high-risk blood donors have positive practical significance for controlling the HIV positive rate of volunteer blood donors.
