Coyote Traces is an anthology of ethnographic poems written by Aku Wuwu, the poet of the Yi ethnic group, in the second mother tongue( Chinese) and then translated into English. Taking Aku Wuwu’s interlingual writing and ethnographic translation discourse as an example, this paper explores cultural hybridism and ethnographic translation for ethnic minorities’ literature to be incorporated into world literature. Admittedly,f rom the narration of mother tongue( the Yi language) into the narration of the Chinese language and further translated into English, the interlingual writing by Aku Wuwu aims at the English narration for English readers, thus creating the intercultural dialogue and ethnography of ethnic cultures. Aku Wuwu’s examples are of great referential significance for"going global"strategy of Chinese minority literature.
