香通寺是保留最完好的老挝传统建筑之一,它与老挝佛教有着密切的关系,是琅勃拉邦最宏伟、美丽的寺庙,代表了经典的琅勃拉邦澜沧寺庙建筑风格。香通寺得天独厚的地理位置、建筑设计、建造技术、室内艺术华美的装饰都促进其成为琅勃拉邦省甚至老挝最著名的传统文化遗产,对老挝建筑学和历史研究有很大的价值。文章通过分析香通寺的建筑及其艺术特征等,进一步探讨老挝传统建筑风格和艺术,为日后学习和研究老挝传统建筑提供依据和参考。

Xieng Thong Temple is one of the best-preserved traditional buildings in Laos.It is closely related to the Buddhism in Laos.It is the most magnificent and beautiful temple in Luang Prabang,representing the architectural style of the classic Luang Prabang temple. Xieng Thong Temple's unique geographical location,architectural design,construction technology,and indoor art decoration has become the most famous traditional cultural heritage of Luang Prabang and Laos,and is of great value to the architecture and history of Laos.By analyzing the architecture of the Xieng Thong Temple and its artistic features,the traditional architectural style and art of Laos were further explored,which provided the basis and reference for future study of traditional architecture in Laos.
