The novel Sons and Lovers is abundant with class awareness.Mrs.Morel's awareness of Middle-class has a very profound influence on her two sons Willian and Paul.William's desire for and pursuit of being Middle-class ends with his death after achieving success;while Paul disdains his working class father because of the influence of Middle-class awareness from his mother,but at the same time he is also impacted by his father's lively and free life,which results in his being a person without class,and thus class identity crisis appears in him.
