China has a high degree of technological research and development in the field of maglev rail transit technology and has a large number of patents.The relevant data for the period from April1,1985 to December15,2018 were collected from the Chinese Patent Invention Open Database, the Chinese Patent Utility Model Library and the Chinese Patent Designs Library. This paper analyzes and summarizes the patent application type, technology distribution, patent distribution and patent development trend of major R&D institutions.
