Identification of B-cell epitopes is one of the key steps in designing vaccines and developing disease diagnosis.Epitope prediction is a screening technology,which can reduce a large amount of time,cost and effort in traditional methods.The calculation tools and methods for epitope prediction have become available in recent years,but the prediction performance is not ideal.We review the latest advances in B-cell epitope prediction and outline some promising directions and a positive outlook on B-cell epitope prediction.
