基于Coh-Metrix的中外标准英文版语言特征对比分析

Coh-Metrix-based Linguistic Analysis of English Versions of International Standards and Chinese Standards

本文基于文本多维分析理论,采用基于语料库的文本测量研究方法,通过构建中国标准英文版语料库与国际标准英文版语料库,运用Coh-Metrix3.0计算工具对比研究中外标准英文版语言特征,包括描述性、文本易读性等11项中国标准英文版母语接近度测量指标,总结中国标准英文版的语言特征,并最终得出中国标准英文版母语接近度指数。本文得到的结论是:中国标准英文版母语接近度为89.87%,尚存在一定差距,但第二语言可读性高于国际标准,更适合母语为非英语人士阅读,中国标准英文版译文质量有待进一步提高。

This paper,based on the multi-modality text analysis theory and corpus-based text measurement approach,sets up corpora for both English-translated Chinese standards and English-based international standards to study the native proximity of English-translated Chinese standards from 11 indicators such as descriptive and text reading ease,by virtue of Coh-Metrix 3.0 software kit.The findings of this paper include that the native proximity of English-translated Chinese standards is 89.87%compared with their international counterpartrts,and that Coh-Metrix L2 Readability score of English-translated Chinese standards is higher than international counterpartrts,being more suitable for non-native readers,and that the translation quality of Chinese standards shall be improved further.
