Study on the Influence of Drug Price Formation Mechanism on Medicine Availability

目的:测算价格形成机制改革对药品可获得性的影响程度和大小。方法:采用Nerlove供给反应模型进行实证分析。结果:滞后期药品价格、通用名竞争者的数量和滞后期药品需求量会对当期药品供给产生显著的正向影响。结论:价格预期和潜在市场份额是药品供给决策行为的主要依据。市场决定价格机制的建立,可释放出明确的市场预期,有利于提高市场供给能力和效率。

Objective: To measure the impact of price formation mechanism reform on medicine availability. Methods: Nerlove supply response model was used for empirical analysis. Results: The drug price in the lag period, the generic competition and the drug demand in the lag period would have significant positive impact on the current drug supply. Conclusion: The price expectation and potential market share were the main basis for drug supply decision. The establishment of market-determined price mechanism could release clear market expectation, which was conducive to improve market supply capacity and efficiency.
