Qian Lingxi and China’s First Generation of Nuclear Submarines

钱令希于1955年被选聘为中国科学院学部委员,是当代著名的工程力学家和教育家,中国计算力学与结构优化设计的开拓者。2019年是中国海军建军70周年和钱令希院士辞世10周年。文章从09工程"下马"期间的相关研究、非常时期"潜水耐压锥柱结合壳的强度和稳定性"的研究、09工程办公室主任陈右铭的举荐、倾注心血的"726课题"等四个方面述说钱令希院士对中国核潜艇事业所做出的贡献,指出他的这一业绩需永载史册,应为后世所铭记和景仰。

Qian Lingxi was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1955. 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Navy as well as the 10th anniversary of his death. The article discusses Qian’s contribution to the development of Chinese nuclear submarines from four aspects, including his relevant research during the suspending period of "Project 09", his studies on "the strength and stability of submersible pressure conical-cylindrical shell" during the "extraordinary period, the recommendation of Chen Youming, director of the "Project 09" office, and his devotion to "Project 726".The paper points out that Qian’s achievements should be recorded in history and should be remembered and admired by later generations.
