养老模式对老年人主客观健康的影响

The Impact of Caring Pattern on the Subjective and Objective Health of the Elderly

构建了老年人健康需求和养老模式需求的理论模型,在此基础上运用CLHLS数据和有序Probit模型,研究三种不同的养老模式对老年人主客观健康的影响。为消除内生性,进一步运用工具变量法建立2SLS模型。研究发现,老人在日常生活自理能力(ADL)较差的情况下,相较于独居,倾向于选择与家人共同居住,家人照护有利于老人ADL能力的恢复,但对老人主观健康不利;老人在自评生活状况较差情况下,相较于独居,倾向于选择养老院居住,养老院照护有利于老年人的主观健康水平和ADL能力的恢复。此外,老年人健康水平还受到经济条件、家庭关系等诸多因素的影响。建议政府能够在进一步提高老年人社会保障水平的同时,为老年人提供更多的养老服务选择。

After setting up a theoretical model of the elderly' demand for health and for caring pattern,this paper studies the impact of three different caring patterns on elderly' subjective and objective health,using CLHLS data and ordered Probit model.In order to eliminate the possible endogeneity,this paper builds a 2SLS model with IV method.It is found that when the elderly is in poor Ability of Daily Life (ADL),he/she prefers living with family members to living alone;Caring by family members can improve the elderly' ADL,while lower his/her subjective health;When the elderly is in poor self-assessment of life condition,he/she prefers living in nursing home to living alone;Caring by nursing home can improve the elderly' subject health and ADL,but not significantly;In addition,the elderly' health is affected by his/her economic condition,family rela tion and other factors too.This paper suggests that the government should provide more options of caring patterns for the elderly at the same time of further improving the elderly' social security.
