金文学应与甲骨学、简帛学并重

On the Importance and Independent Identity of Bronze Inscription Studies

金文是铸造或契刻在商周秦汉青铜器上的文字,是研究殷周史的第一手材料。金文学就是以金文为研究对象的学科,其主要任务是释读铭文和研究历史。金文学和古文字学、青铜器学既有交叉,又各有侧重。目前,以甲骨文和简帛文字为研究对象的甲骨学、简帛学均发展为独立的学科。金文学的概念,提出已久,学科体系已很成熟,理应与甲骨学、简帛学并重,列为独立学科,以促进金文的研究与教学工作。

Bronze inscriptions are characters molded or engraved on the bronze wares in Shang and Zhou dynasties.It is the first-hand material for studying Yin and Zhou’s history.Bronze inscription studies is a discipline that studies bronze inscriptions as its research object.Its main task is to interpret inscriptions and research history.In fact,bronze inscription studies,ancient philology and bronze studies have their intersections and different emphases.At present,oracle bone studies and bamboo and silk studies,which are based on oracle bone inscriptions and bamboo and silk manuscripts,have developed into independent disciplines.The concept of bronze inscription studies has been put forward for a long time and the discipline system is very mature.Therefore,it should be established equally to oracle bone studies and bamboo and silk studies,and be listed as an independent discipline to promote the research and teaching of bronze inscriptions.
