名误落山东:憨山法师居崂事迹考述

Bad luck in Shandong Province: research on the deeds of master Hanshan living in Laoshan Mountain

明万历年间,憨山法师因避名自五台迁至崂山卓锡。在慈圣太后施助下,创建了海印寺,一纪之中,他弘扬佛法,广兴佛事。后以基址之争,道人告讼,因涉宫廷矛盾过深,被判谪戍雷州。居崂期间,憨山赈济灾民,归化异教,离崂奔走,入世意切,出世志坚,深得民人敬仰。他悟法修行,屡得宗通之相;说法开示,广有僧众皈依;研经著论,深悟经义妙旨;赋诗作偈,自富禅趣意境。由此崂山化为东方“洋洋佛国”,憨山亦成为彼时闻名之高僧。

In the Wanli period (1572-1620) of the Ming Dynasty,master Hanshan moved from Mount Wutai to Laoshan Mountain to avoid being famous.With the help of Ci Sheng Empress Dowager,he set up the Haeinsa Temple.He carried forward Buddhism and expanded Buddhism for twelve years.Later as the base of dispute,Taoist priest to suit and the palace conflicts involved in too deep,he was sentenced and exiled to Leizhou.While living in Laoshan,Hanshan helped victims of disasters and naturalized the pagan.As Hanshan went into the society sincerely,and believed the Buddhism firmly,he was respected by the people.He realized the dharma and practiced,and he got to know it again and again;he preached the truth of Buddhism and gained many followers;he explained the Buddhist doctrine,which converted monks widely;he studied Buddhist scriptures and wrote books.His poetry also had rich religious meaning,and purified by Buddhism.So Laoshan Mountai turned into a great Buddhist shrine,and Hanshan also became the famous Buddhist monk at that time.
