Laixi City is located in the inland area of Jiaodong Peninsula.Its special geographical location and ecological location make the whole area have relatively complete wetland types.The paper discusses the wetland types,wetland characteristics and distribution patterns in Laixi City.The paper points out that the wetlands in the region mainly include:two wetland types in river wetlands,namely permanent rivers and seasonal(intermittent)rivers;permanent freshwater lakes in lake wetlands;herbaceous marsh wetland types in marsh wetlands;artificial wetlands mainly include three types,namely,pond wetland type,canal,water conveyance river wetland type,and aquaculture farm wetland type.
