Group psychological counseling is a new mode of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,which is conducive to enhancing the pertinence and timeliness of ideological and political education and improving the scientific level of ideological and political education. Group psychological counseling is the inevitable requirement of strengthening and improving ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new era. This paper expounds the application characteristics of group psychological counseling in colleges and universities, introduces how to introduce the theory and method of group psychological counseling into college students’ideological and political education,and effectively combines group psychological counseling with ideological and political education.
