New Insights into Digital Learning Environments:Rise and Application of Mixed Reality Learning Environment

摘要 混合现实学习环境(Mixed Reality Learning Environments,简称MRLE)是信息技术应用于教育领域的新产物。为了更好地把握MRLE,文章基于文献分析对MRLE的兴起背景、本质、构成、特征及其在教育领域的应用情况进行系统的梳理与分析。研究发现:MRLE是在新工业革命的推动下新兴的一种数字学习环境;MRLE以混合现实技术为核心,本质上是以人类自然知觉感知为基础的“所见即所得”的人机交互学习空间,这种人机交互的学习空间打破了现实世界与虚拟世界的界限,在人、现实世界与虚拟世界之间构建了直接融合的通道,使学习者可以直观地与虚实一体的世界进行自然交互;MRLE由学习空间、学习风格与学习方式三个维度构成,具有虚实融合、自然交互与内容互动三个鲜明的本质特征;当前,MRLE已经成功应用于STEM教育、医学教育、场馆学习、工业培训、远程指导与艺术设计等领域,相关应用案例证实MRLE在教育领域具有广阔的应用前景。 Mixed Reality Learning Environment(MRLE)is a new product of information technology applied in education.In order to better understand MRLE,this paper makes a systematic analysis of the background,essence,composition,characteristics and application of MRLE in the field of education based on literature analysis.It is found that MRLE is an emerging digital learning environment driven by the new industrial revolution.MRLE is based on mixed reality technology and is essentially a"what you see is what you get"human-computer interactive learning space based on human natural perception.This human-computer interactive learning space breaks the boundary between the real world and the virtual world,and establishes a direct fusion channel between human,the real world and the virtual world,so that learners can intuitively interact with the mixed world.MRLE consists of three dimensions:learning space,learning style and learning style preferences.It has three distinct essential features:the virtual and real integration,natural interaction and content interaction.At present,MRLE has been successfully applied in STEM education,medical education,museum learning,industrial training,remote guidance and art design.The relevant application cases prove that MRLE has broad application prospects in the field of education.
