Research on the Application of Omeka System in Digital Humanities

[目的/意义]旨在为我国数字人文领域研究提供参考。[方法/过程]在数字人文领域相关文献研究基础上,阐述国内外数字人文研究现状,介绍Omeka系统的开发背景、功能特点,以数字公共历史项目、佛罗里达记忆项目、1812年战争纪念网站为例介绍其应用实例,并对Omeka的应用价值进行分析。[结果/结论]提出我国数字人文研究应广泛关注数字人文研究热点,介绍数字人文应用工具;综合评估各类相似系统,考虑引进的可行性和适用性;建立开源社区,鼓励多方合作自主开发;支持开放获取运动,推动相关标准的建立。

[Purpose/significance]The paper is to provide references for the research of digital humanities in China.[Method/process]On the basis of relevant researches on digital humanities,the paper expounds the research status of digital humanities at home and abroad,introduces the development background and functional characteristics of Omeka system,and its application examples such as The Lowcountry Digital History Project,Florida Memory Project and War of 1812 memorial website,and analyzes the application value of Omeka.[Result/conclusion]It summarizes some enlightenments:paying more attention to the research hotspots of digital humanities and introducing the digital humanistic application tools;comprehensively evaluating various similar systems,and considering the feasibility and applicability of the introduction;establishing open source communities and encouraging multi-party cooperation to develop independently;supporting the open access movement and promoting the establishment of relevant standards.
