摘要
多耐药病原细菌的不断出现和传播给公共医疗造成了严峻的威胁和挑战,开发新的抗菌药物迫在眉睫。噬菌体裂解酶是噬菌体在感染细菌后期表达的一类细胞壁水解酶。噬菌体裂解酶来源于噬菌体,具有独特的进化选择优势,不仅能高效迅速杀灭多重耐药细菌,且不易引起细菌产生新的耐药性。本文对噬菌体裂解酶的结构和功能进行了简要的介绍,重点综述了裂解酶作用机制与应用前景。
The emergence and rapid spread of multidrug resistant has induced intense research for novel therapeutic approaches.Bacteriophages(phages)and their endolysins(lysins)have long been recognized for their ability to combat multidrug resistant pathogens.Bacteriophages are the most abundant viruses on the earth that can specifically infect and lyse their host bacteria.Endolysins are phage encoded enzymes that degrade the bacterial cell wall at the end of phage replication cycle.Endolysins have antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria.In the last decade,endolysins have been investigated as therapeutic agents and applied to a wide range of bacteria.In our review,the structures and functions of endolysins were outlined,and the recent research progress in endolysin therapy of bacterial infections was summarized.
