南通民间歌谣搜集整理史是中国民间文学搜集整理史的缩影,自1918年北京大学成立专门机构“歌谣征集处”起至今,南通民间歌谣的搜集整理从未间断。它受五四运动、新民主主义革命、社会主义建设、文化大革命、改革开放等重大历史事件影响,在不同时期有不同的社会地位、学术地位。在五四运动100周年和新中国成立70周年之际梳理这段历史,是对地方文化史的补充,更是对中国民间歌谣搜集整理史的理性思考,将其回复到具体历史语境,阐述其复杂性。

The collection and arrangement history of Nantong folk songs is the epitome of the collection and arrangement history of Chinese folk literature.Since 1918,when Peking University set up a special organization“song collection office”,the collection and arrangement of Nantong folk songs has never been interrupted.Influenced by major historical events such as the May 4th movement,the new democratic revolution,socialist construction,the cultural revolution,and the reform and opening up,it had different social and academic status in different periods.This paper,on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the May 4th movement and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China,sorts out this period of history,which is not only a supplement to the history of local culture,but also a rational reflection on the history of collecting and organizing Chinese folk songs,returning them to the specific historical context and expounding their complexity.
