玉米传播到贵州黔东地区,苗语对其有多种不同的称谓。旨在探讨玉米在黔东苗语中的不同称谓及对它的认知理据,认为其认知理据分为转喻和隐喻。转喻反映与外来物种有关、与皇家推行有关,隐喻与玉米的象似有关。此外,从地理语言学角度,玉米的命名理据也得到了验证。

Maize spread to Eastern Guizhou,and Miao language has different appellations for it.The purpose of this paper is to explore the different appellations of Maize in Miao language of Eastern Guizhou and its cognitive motivation,which can be divided into metonymy and metaphor.Metonymy is related to exotic species,to Royal promotion,and to maize iconicity.In addition,from the perspective of geolinguistics,the naming motivation of maize has also been verified.
