The coding standards for disease diagnosis and operations are important tools for medical insurance to conduct disease-related management. This article describes the research design and outcome of disease diagnosis, operation classifi cation and code standards of healthcare security, and the standard setting principles and strategies based on these results. On this basis, this article summarizes the main outputs of the research, and proposes the methods and paths to promote the implementation of these standards.
