摘要
2019年是美国教育家杜威来华100周年,在应邀来华的两年多时间里,杜威通过在中国各地的教育讲演阐释了他的现代教育思想,其涉及的方面是广泛的,其教育思想精粹是有启迪的。这使得杜威成为对近代中国教育影响领域最广、程度最深和时间最长的一位西方教育学者。尤其是杜威在华教育讲演的特点,使我们可以感受到另一个杜威,一个不同于在阅读他的教育著作时所感受到的杜威。同时我们必须注意到,杜威在华教育讲演之后,他的晚期教育思想又有了很多新的发展和修改。
The year 2019 marks the 100 th anniversary of modern American educator Dewey’s lectures in China. In more than two years, Dewey lectured all over China, explaining his enlightening ideas on modern education, which cover many aspects. This has made Dewey a western educational scholar who has the most extensive influence on modern Chinese education. His speeches in China, with unique characteristics, enable us to feel another Dewey, different from reading his educational writings. However, we must notice that after Dewey’s educational lectures in China, his later educational thoughts have had many new developments and revisions.
