语篇层面视域下的学术论文评价资源审视

摘要 学术论文因其客观严谨的语类特质和修辞说服的语类目标,其评价资源配置极为精巧隐蔽。学界在某种程度上忽视了不同类型评价资源在学术论文语篇整体构建过程中发挥的不同作用及其间的互相影响。文章借助Sinclair语篇层面理论,从语篇自主和互动两个层面审视学术论文的评价资源,不仅可以有效阐释学术论文高度复杂的评价意义,而且为学术论文评价研究提供了易于操作的分析框架。学术论文自主层面的评价对象以实体形式出现,呈显性。自主层面的论证相关话题型评价和研究型评价为互动层面语篇的推进提供支撑。学术论文互动层面的评价对象以命题形式出现的研究型评价主导,呈隐性,其多声互动构成语篇论证的核心驱动力。 Research Article, being a scientific genre with objectivity as its attribute and persuasion as its rhetorical goal, is characterized by a subtle arrangement of evaluative resources. However, little attention has been paid to the role of different evaluative resources and their potential interplay in the construction of academic discourse. Based on Sinclair’s planes of discourse, this paper examines evaluation in Research Articles respectively on their autonomous planes and their interactive planes, with a view to uncovering the highly complex evaluative meanings and further providing a practical framework for evaluation studies in such a persuasive genre. Evaluation on the autonomous plane, in the form of entities, tends to be realized explicitly, with its Argument-Related TOE and ROE working as a basis for the unfolding of discourse on the interactive plane of Research Article. Evaluation on the interactive plane, being implicit, focuses on ROE in the form of propositions, and forges a driving force in consolidating the writer’s argument with its heteroglossic interaction.
