英语联觉音sn-符号化研究

A Study on the Symbolization of English Phonaestheme Sn-

联觉音是指其语音和所构词具有某种相似含义的语素。它不仅具有语言生成功能,参与新词的认知与构建,还间接地、隐喻式地用特定的符号表达特定的文化规范。以联觉音sn-为例,对英语联觉音符号外化、内化、隐喻化过程进行演绎,展现其"贬"的文化认知属性。

Phonaestheme is a morpheme whose speech sound denotes some similar sense as its word form.It not only has function of word generation,involved in the cognition and formation of new words,but also represents specific cultural norms indirectly and metaphorically.This paper takes phonaestheme sn- as an example to elaborate the externalization,internalization and metaphorization of English phonaestheme symbols,and to demonstrate its cultural and cognitive attributes of 'derogation'.
