关联理论下英语口译能力的提升路径

On Paths of Improving English Interpreting Ability by Relevance Theory

以关联理论视角研究英语口译过程中存在的两个阶段“明示—推理”认知过程。而英语口译要求翻译人员在短时间内理解源语会话者的会话意图,并生成翻译用语,从而快速高质量地完成口译,最后提出用排除策略、预测策略来加速翻译人员的理解源语速度,用填补释义策略和取舍策略来提高译语质量。

From the perspective of relevance theory, this paper studies the two stages of cognitive process in the process of English interpreting:“expression - reasoning”. English interpreting requires interpreters to understand source language communicators’ conversational intentions within a short period of time, to generate the target translation, and to take interpretation with fast speed and high quality. The exclusion strategy and prediction strategy are suggested to use to accelerate the interpreter’s speed in understanding the source language, while the strategy of filling-in interpretation and the strategy of acceptation or rejection are for improving the quality of translated language.
