Imagination, Localization and Discourse Power of Chinese Sociology

随着中国的崛起和社会转型的不断深入,中国社会学的国际话语权问题越来越突出。话语权本质上是一种软实力,其获得必须以足够的硬实力为前提和基础。中国过去40多年中经济和社会的快速发展,为中国社会学获取国际话语权提供了强大的硬实力基础。但硬实力与软实力毕竟是两种不同的权力形态。要把硬实力转化为话语权,中国社会学必须扎根中国经济和社会发展的实际,通过加深本土化丰富想象力,通过丰富想象力提升话语权。

With the rise of China and the deepening of social transformation, the issue concerning international discourse power of Chinese sociology has become more and more prominent. The discourse power is essentially a sort of soft power, whose acquisition must be based on sufficient hard power. China's rapid economic and social development over the past 40 years has provided a strong basis of hard power for Chinese sociology to gain international discourse power. However, hard power and soft power are two different forms of power. To transform hard power into discourse power, Chinese sociology must take root in the reality of China's economic and social development, enriching its imagination through deepening localization, and enhancing the discourse power enriching imagination.
