杭州会议是1984年12月在杭州召开的为期约一周的小说创作研讨会,尽管这次会议没有发布正式的会议消息,甚至没有留下完整的会议记录,但它与新时期寻根文学的生成有着直接的关系。这次研讨会不仅使得寻根文学有了理论上的指导,而且有力地推动了文学实践的发展。韩少功作为这一时期寻根文学的积极倡导者和实践者,他的文学创作活动也可以杭州会议为界,分为前后两个不同的阶段。

The“Hangzhou Conference”is a seminar on novel creation held in Hangzhou in December 1984 for about a week.Although the conference did not release official news or even leave a complete record of the meeting,it has a direct relationship with the formation of“root-seeking literature”in the new period.This seminar not only provides theoretical guidance for root-seeking literature,but also strongly promotes the development of literary practice.HAN Shaogong was an active advocator and practitioner of“root-seeking literature”in this period.His literary creation activities can also be bounded by the conference and divided into two stages.
