摘要
Two years ago, a chart of global forests waning and waxing since 1990 went viral on the Internet in China. The set of charts was com piled by Tariq Khokhar, a data scientist based on data from the World Bank and showed that in the past two decades, the Earth lost 1.3 million square km of forests. China was the rare exception that had seen a rise in forests, with its increased coverage ranking first in the world. This chart is still reposted by Chinese netizens on WeChat China's social media app, along with proud captions.
