摘要
清代九种《西番译语》的序言和命名均有其结构规则,前人对此讨论较少。译语序言包括译语采集地所属的行政单位、军事单位和土司名目,行政和军事单位按照品级高低顺序交叉排列。译语初编本的命名是对序言中地名的概括,基本模式是"A属B西番译语",其中A为序言中最高军事单位名称,B一般为级别较高且排序靠前的土司名称,据此推测两种书名未知的译语(川四、川八)名称当为《松潘属白马路西番译语》和《建昌属大盐井酥州等各西番译语》。
There are certain principles about the forewords and names of nine versions of Xi-Fan-Yi-Yu in Qing dynasty. The forewords include administrative units,military units and minority headmen. The administrative and military units list according to their ranking. The name of the original version of Xi-Fan-Yi-Yu is the summary of place names. The model of naming is based on B sub-category as Xi-Fan-Yi-Yu within the category A. Here A is the highest ranking military unit and B is,usually,the names of minority headmen of high rank and front order in forewords. Therefore,the two unknown titles for category Chuan IV and VIII must be Songpan Shu Baimalu Xipan Yiyu, and Jianchang Shu Dayanjing Suzhou Deng Ge Xipan Yiyu.
