The innovation of new media technology drives the development of political thought in higher vocational colleges and brings opportunities for the development of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges. Under this background, higher vocational colleges must adapt to the development of the times and put forward the ideological and political programs under the new situation. The traditional education mode cannot meet the needs of the current society. Higher vocational colleges must change the ideology and thinking of ideological and political education and teaching, and build a scientific and reasonable management mechanism. Political and ideological teaching in higher vocational colleges is very important, which is the main source and channel for students to obtain ideological education, and also an important channel to improve students’ overall quality.
