摘要
美国作家唐·德里罗的小说《大都会》探讨了21世纪初“赛博资本黄金时代”给人类与城市带来的深刻影响。赛博劳动将人类主体性侵蚀殆尽,带来人与城市、人与自身、人与他人之间的异化和疏离。纽约沦为被围困的城市,围城中的人们饱受肉体和心灵的双重折磨。小说的后半部分则暗示了身体技术的恢复与感官能力的觉醒将为人们重建主体性从而对抗赛博时代的生存异化带来一线希望。小说体现了德里罗对文明困境和人类救赎的深刻反思。
Don DeLillo’s Cosmopolis unveils the devastation of both body and soul of human in “Golden Age of Cybercapital” of early 21 st century. Cyber labor deprives human of their subjectivity, causing the alienation between man and city, man and him/herself, and man and man. However, the novel suggests that possible redemption lies in the recovery of body techniques and the awakening of sensory abilities. This novel reflects DeLillo’s profound reflection toward civilization predicament and human redemption.
