The Innovative Development of the “Four Greatnesses” in the New Era for Marx and Engels’ Thought

马克思恩格斯思想中已经蕴含了“进行无产阶级反对资产阶级的伟大斗争、建设新的现代性的伟大工程、推进社会主义与共产主义的伟大事业、实现人类解放的伟大梦想”的“四个伟大”思想。这一思想在中国革命和建设的实际运用中得到贯彻与发展,并在新时代中国特色社会主义进程中被进一步确证、升华和凝练。以习近平同志为核心的党中央领导集体将“四个伟大”从指向人类解放的无产阶级革命总纲领发展为实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的治国理政新方略。

Marx and Engels's thought had already embodied that of “Four Greatnesses”, that is “carrying out the great struggle between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie, building the great project of new modernity, advancing the great cause of socialism and communism, realizing the great dream of human emancipation”. This thought was applied and developed in the practices of Chinese revolution and construction, and then was justified, sublimated and condensed in the process of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The leading group of the central committee of the CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core transforms the “Four Greatnesses” from the general program of proletarian revolution which points to the human emancipation, into a new strategy of governing the country to realize the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
