摘要
《字林西报》于1850年创刊起就经常刊登泰山的相关信息。对这些文章进行梳理和分析,从而审视泰山在西方人的理解中是神圣的、神秘的、有内涵的。泰山的魅力不仅在于深远的历史和文化,还在于海纳百川、不拒微尘的气魄:上古的先人、历代帝王、裹脚的老人、蜂拥的乞丐、来此或传教或旅游的外国人等等在泰山均能找到存在的痕迹和空间。
Since its establishment in 1850,the North China Daily News has frequently published information about mount tai. This article is to ponder and analyze these articles,so as to examine taishan in the western understanding is sacred,mysterious,connotative. The attraction of mount tai lies not only in its profound history and culture, but also in its comprehensive spirit: primitive ancestors,the emperors of successive dynasties,feet-binding women, numerous beggars,and foreigners of preaching or traveling to mount tai and so on. We can find traces of existence and space of them.
