On the Dual Transition of Chinese Diplomacy and Korean Peninsula Situation

最近,中国外交和朝鲜半岛局势正在发生双重转变:一方面,在新中美关系的大背景下,中国正在对地区战略和朝鲜半岛政策进行调整;另一方面,由于朝鲜在国家战略上的大转变,朝鲜半岛呈现出了新的和平态势。从这一点来看,目前朝鲜半岛的安保状况并不只停留在个别事件的层面上,至少可以视为局势调整或者结构转换的过渡期。因此,各方正面临这样一个过渡性课题——如何在缓和朝鲜半岛局势和各方关系的同时,构建朝鲜半岛的和平环境?此外,中韩两国也需要起到新的双重调解人的作用来巩固朝鲜半岛无核化局面,大力推进和平政策。

Both Chinese diplomacy and the Korean Peninsula situation are changing recently.On the one hand,with the new relation between China and the U.S.,China is adjusting its regional strategies and policies concerning Korean Peninsula;on the other hand,due to DPRK’s great change of its national strategy,Korean Peninsula enjoys peace again.Thus,the current security on the Korean Peninsula will hardly change due to merely individual incidents as the peninsula is witnessing structural transformations.Therefore,all parties are facing such a dilemma-how to build a peaceful Korean Peninsula while easing the tense among all parties related to the it?In addition,China and South Korea also need to play a new role as double mediators to consolidate the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and promote the peace policy.
