A construction of culture courses system for English majors based on an investigation

针对英语专业文化课程建设滞后状况,对目前英语专业文化课程开设的情况进行了调查,在数据分析基础上,基于Kramsch的文化教学理论,按照《高等学校英语专业本科教学质量国家标准》的要求,构建了英语专业文化课程体系。阐述了体系中课程类别的划分与理据、课程内容和作用,旨在促进英语专业文化课程的建设和发展。

To counter the situation of sluggish development of the culture courses for English majors, an investigation of the culture courses offered for English majors in colleges was carried out. With Kramsch's culture teaching theory as guidance, and based on the results and analysis, a culture courses system was constructed in accordance with the requirements of "the National Criteria of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majors". The paper deals with the classification, justification, content and function of the culture courses.The construction of the system aims to make the culture courses play a positive role in the English majors development.
