Thoughts on New Round Protection of Ancient City——The Case of Protecting Suzhou Ancient City

古城保护是世界性难题,苏州古城新一轮保护也存在问题。为了进一步实现经济发展与古城保护之间的动态平衡,提升古城持续发展的能力,应进一步解决思想观念问题,做到认识上再深化;进一步解决实际操作问题,做到方案上再优化;进一步解决组织协调问题,做到机制上再完善。

The protection of ancient cities is a tough problem worldwide.There is also a problem emerged in the new round of protection of ancient city Suzhou.In order to further realize the dynamic balance between economic development and ancient city protection,and promote the ability of sustainable development for the ancient city,there is a need to further resolve ideological and conceptual issues so as to deepen understanding;to further overcome practical operational problems so as to re-optimize plans;to further deal with the issues of organization and coordination so as to improve mechanisms.
