摘要
客运需求分析对航空公司制定价格策略和改善运营效益具有重要意义。采用国内航空公司的实际运营数据,建立民航客运需求模型估计价格参数,运用两阶段最小二乘法修正需求模型中存在的价格内生性问题,测算不同维度下的客运需求价格弹性,定量分析旅客对机票价格变动的敏感程度。实证研究发现,具有提前多日预订、周末预订、周末出行、早间时段出行等行为特征的旅客群体,其价格弹性相对较大,对价格的波动显得更加敏感。航空公司可以依据旅客价格敏感程度的差异,细分旅客需求市场,有针对性地制定和实施相应的价格策略。
The analysis of air passenger demand is of great significance for airlines to formulate pricing strategy and improve operation management. Based on the operating data of a domestic airline, demand model is established to estimate the price parameter, combing with two-stage least square regression that corrects for price endogeneity, the price elasticity of demand under different dimensions is accurately predicted, and the price sensitivities of air passengers are quantitatively analyzed. According to the empirical study, the price elasticity is higher for reservation more days in advance, weekends reservations, weekends departures and morning flights, indicating that the passengers with these behavior characteristics are more price sensitive. The results for price elasticity for different market segments help airlines formulate and implement effective price strategies.
