轻木在西双版纳低海拔地区栽培实用技术

Cultivation Technology of Ochroma lagopus in Low Altitude Area of Xishuangbanna

轻木是世界上最轻的商品用材,又称巴沙木,是木棉科常绿乔木,原产于南美洲的赤道热带地区。其木材的主要特点是质轻,而且具有较好的强度,隔音和隔热性能好,浮力大,现主要用于制造风力发电机叶片等。经过多年研究,已经完全掌握其育苗和栽培技术,并在西双版纳低海拔地区造林成功。对其中的种子处理、苗期管理、苗木出圃、造林地选择、整地、种植密度、造林季节、定植、幼林地管理、修枝、虫害防治等作了阐述。

Ochroma lagopus was the world′s lightest commercial timber,also known as balsa wood,an evergreen tree of Bombacaceae,originating in the equatorial tropics of South America,with the main characteristics of light weight,good strength,sound insulation and heat insulation,and high buoyancy,which was mainly used to manufacture wind turbine blades.The seedling and cultivation techniques of Ochroma lagopus had been mastered after years of research,which was successfully afforested in low altitude area of Xishuangbanna.The seed treatment,seedling management,outplanting,afforestation land selection,land preparation,planting density,afforestation season,planting,young forest land management,pruning,pest control and so on were described.
