中美政治语篇中的概念隐喻对比分析

A comparative analysis of conceptual metaphors in Chinese and American political discourses

对筛选的中美两种政治语篇进行对比分析,发现两种语料中均有大量的概念隐喻。其中,一部分隐喻具有相似性,主要包括“旅途”隐喻、“冲突”隐喻、“人”隐喻和“建筑”隐喻,还有一部分隐喻具有独特性,主要是只出现在中文语篇中的“围棋”隐喻和“考试”隐喻。对比分析上述概念隐喻及其中英文的隐喻表达,阐明了概念隐喻在两种政治语篇中的共性与特殊性,揭示了其背后凸显的社会文化、意识形态等方面的不同。

In this paper relevant data of political essays, typical in Chinese and in English, are selected with a contrastive analysis of conceptual metaphors in them. The findings are that conceptual metaphors appear in large numbers in political discourses. It is true that both materials have in common such metaphorical expressions that fall into categories as JOURNEY, CONFLICT, PERSON and CONSTRUCTION, but CHESS and TEST metaphors are unique in the Chinese texts. An analysis is made to interpret the similarities and differences in terms of conceptual metaphor and reveal the social culture and ideology that lies behind.
